On July 14th, the 32nd meeting of the Lightning Protection and Environmental Adaptability Working Group (WG2) of the Telecommunication Systems, hosted by Xiamen Taihang, was held at the Xiamen Egret Island Hotel. Twenty-six representatives from various parts of the country attended the meeting.

Dr. Dai Chuanyou, the head of the working group, presided over the meeting, and Mr. Li Xin, General Manager of Xiamen Taihang Technology Co., Ltd., delivered the welcome speech on behalf of the hosting unit.

During the meeting, discussions and standard reviews were conducted on three main topics, including the review of draft submissions for four standard projects and a draft solicitation for comments on one standard project.

The meeting discussed and approved drafts for three standards:

· "Special Disconnectors for Surge Protectors for Communication Bureau (Station) Use"

· "Environmental Test Requirements and Test Methods for Telecommunication Equipment Part 10: Civil Aircraft Onboard Equipment"

· "Environmental Test Requirements and Test Methods for Telecommunication Equipment Part 9: Shipborne Equipment"

The meeting also reviewed and suggested revisions to the draft revision of the standard project "Technical Requirements and Test Methods for Communication Isolation Transformers," and proposed to form a draft for approval based on the revision comments.

Furthermore, the meeting discussed and approved one draft soliciting comments for a standard:

· "Environmental Test Requirements and Test Methods for Telecommunication Equipment Part 11: Underground Fixed Use"

The 33rd meeting of WG2 is tentatively scheduled to be held concurrently with the CCSA TC9 Plenary Meeting.

The industry standard "Special Disconnectors for Surge Protectors for Communication Bureau (Station) Use" was advocated and developed by Xiamen Taihang. The approval of the draft submission for this standard marks another significant step forward for Xiamen Taihang in leading the industry technologically!
